Curated by Matthew Needham, the installation reimagined Martina’s signature weaving style with a mix of repurposed materials and rich textures. Known for her bold, handwoven leather pieces, Martina infuses her background in chemistry into each design, bringing a fresh approach to sustainable material innovation. Her jackets, crafted from metal-free leather, non-toxic dyes, and recycled zips, feature embedded scannable chips that allow viewers to trace each piece’s journey from origin to creation. Set against a striking backdrop of salvaged wood from around London, and finished with upcycled paint, the installation beautifully showcased Martina’s dedication to blending sustainability with a timeless, modern aesthetic.
